When you’re born and raised in Nashville, music undoubtedly becomes a pillar in your life.

In 2003, Eric and fellow co-founders LaSalle Chapman, Chip Hockett, Antoine Nunn and Bryce Page, began LoveNoise, highlighting the brightest local Nashville, TN R+B and soul artists. Starting with poetry night in the basement of B.B. Kings on 2nd Avenue, LoveNoise has grown to support artists at venues around the city, proving that soulful music starts right here at home. Featured national artists have included Tamia, Musiq Soulchild, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Raphael Saadiq, Prince Paul, Amel Larrieux, Saul Williams, Goapele, KRS-ONE, Raheem DeVaughn, Chrisette Michele, Anthony David and PJ Morton among others.

"We have since built a dedicated following and have become a breeding ground for up and coming soul musicians across the country,” said Eric Holt, co-founder of Lovenoise and chief orchestrator of the Lovenoise brand. "We have worked with some of the best artists and poets in Nashville and have exposed our local music scene to national artists. Major record labels call us with new artists or new releases to play at Lovenoise for the exposure simply because we have managed to achieve a longstanding quality event," he added.

With continued national acclaim, the belief that traditionally urban music could blossom within country-skewed Nashville was realized.
